Blueberry Cliff

Fixin' to go to work for awhile. I'm wishing I would have brought the files home that I need. The RAs (Resident Assistants) are moving back on campus this weekend (which I forgot about). I'll either have to sit in my office with the door and blinds closed or be prepared for several interruptions. I'm not complaining about these upcoming friendly interludes it's always fun when the students start trickling back in but the whole reason for going in on the weekend is to get caught up!

I only managed to get one card completed. It is not what I had planned for an image as I misplaced the original image I had planned for this. After searching high, low, in the wastebasket, my pockets, the kitchen...I decided to stamp a new image.

Blueberries N' Cream
~Base card PaperTrey Ink Vintage Cream~Layer of black cardstock
~Layer of The Paper Studio Vintage Black Paisley
~Bottom edge of the design paper smudged with extra Distress Ink Old Paper and Memento London Fog
~Top horizontal strip of The Paper Studio Black and Cream Medallions
~Lacey Blueberry 'vintage' seam binding with 'binding blossom' - secured with black thread (and I left the tails of the thread straggling)
~For the center of the blossom I re-purposed an upholstery tack
~Strip of check fabric from my fabric stash
~Black thread stitches around outside edge
~Image/sentiment is a stamp from a dollar bin at Michael's - edges of cardstock smudged with Distress Ink Old Paper~Pale blue Prima flower - with center black shaft button (I snapped the shaft off of the button)
Challenges:
SplitcoastStampers - Ways to Use It -WT207 - frugal finds, re-purpose, recycling (used an upholstery tack found languishing in the kitchen 'junk drawer'
SplitcoastStampers - Free for All - F4A23 - side swiped - something special along the borders (smudged/distressed bottom edge, sewing)
Card Patterns - sketch/layout

Well...I'm off to the Cliff!
All good wishes,
Nancy
