Questionable Color Combinations & My Personal Island

So...I made the first card...then stood back and wondered...WHAT WAS I THINKING? I colored this little gal a long time ago and she sat languishing in the "colored images" basket....now I know WHY she languished. I must have been low on sugar or perhaps had one too many adult beverages? Talk about non-traditional Christmas colors! YIKES! In her defense she is seriously cute!

I took a bunch of stamped/printed images with me on my "sisters holiday" to Shellman Bluff. This was one that I did at that time. So she is special to me even if she has no fashion sense! I've decided coloring images with no idea what you want for back ground design papers...never a good idea (for me anyway).

I'm not the only one with a stack of lonely ready-to-use-already-colored images am I? Who knows why they get relegated to "the basket"... As I was taking this photo I noticed many of the images are holiday leaning...what's up with that? It's my own version of the Island of Misfit Toys!

Poor little images...hoping to one day make it to a card! (By the way I have a container for printed/stamped images that have no coloring...yet.) Hey! There is a color

version of the image below!

With all the hodge-podge of color of Miss Flake above I decided to give minimal a try. No coloring at all. Embossing powders plus OPI nail polish....DONE!
