A Challenging Christmas

Nothing like a new challenge to get me out of my comfort zone! Just Us Girls' challenge is to create a word-background. Let me tell you this was REALLY a challenge for me! The first part of the challenge was deciding on the sentiments. Then I unearthed a set of Hero Arts border stamps wwwaaaayyyy in the back of one of my two Christmas stamp drawers. I must admit I had a few do-overs. I told you it was a challenge!

~Base card - Stampin' Up card stock
~Layer of diagonal stripe card stock from Michael's
~Layer of Cryogen White stamped using Hero Arts Border Stamps using an assortment of inks, spritzed with Tattered Angel's Glitter Mist, edges curved using punch
~Corner poinsettia die cut using Spellbinders and Cuttlebug and Christmas card stock The 12 Days from Michael's (deep clearance sale last year!!)
~Snowflake is a 3-D sticker from the 97 cent bin at Walmart
~Merry Christmas sentiment stamped with Versamark and Adirondack Moss embossing powder

Do-overs aside, the end result is wonderful! Love the colorful inking and poinsettia cornered so the words are seen!
